Connecting environmental adaptation
and systems transformation
October
13 – 17 October 2025
Lisbon Congress Centre
Lisbon, Portugal
Join us for the 2025 Textile Exchange Conference
Each year, the Textile Exchange Conference brings together brands, supply system partners, innovators, farmers, non-profit organizations, academics, and more for three days of curated, collective learning.
Under the theme of Shifting Landscapes, this year’s agenda will drive home the urgency for our industry to rapidly adapt to changing environments both to mitigate risk and unlock opportunities for systems transformation.
Adaptation is already happening in many forms. From regenerative agriculture to innovative, more circular business models, communities on the ground are responding to immediate environmental risks and changing conditions. The 2025 Textile Exchange Conference will lean into local approaches, unpacking how place-based insights can support industry-level strategies and global frameworks — while ensuring that those most affected by climate impacts are supported.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Discover the full three-day agenda
The Textile Exchange Conference 2025 will be held at the Lisbon Congress Centre in Portugal from October 13–17, 2025.
Changemakers from every corner of the global fashion, textile, and apparel industry are invited to take part. For those who would prefer to join us online, we will be providing an interactive virtual offering.
We will also be hosting field trips to visit local material producers and programs on October 17 and invite those attending in person to consider staying an extra day to join a trip.
2025 theme
Shifting Landscapes
Shifting landscapes, whether environmental, political, or economic, are redefining the context in which our industry operates. Amid weather instability, economic fluctuations, and incoming policy changes, adaptation is not just a necessity — it can be a catalyst for change.
The 2025 Textile Exchange Conference will explore how adaptation and systems transformation can be more intentionally connected. How can we learn from the communities who are already leading change in their local contexts, and ensure global frameworks are grounded in place-based knowledge?
Successful evolution will mean looking to those on the ground, from farmers to second-hand clothing sellers, who are already shifting their ways of working to fit the challenges unfolding locally. Listening to perspectives from across the supply system, we will unpack place-based insights into adaptation and how they can be effectively integrated into global strategies for climate and nature.

Conference FAQs
How do I find my member registration passcodes?
All passcodes have been sent to the primary contact that we have on record for each member company. These codes may also be found in the primary contact’s profile on The Hub. If you are unsure who your company’s primary membership contact is, please reach out to your Textile Exchange representative, who you can find listed in the left-hand column of your Hub profile.
How many tickets are available to my member company?
If your company is a Supporter level member, you receive one in-person pass and two virtual passes. If your company is a Partner level member, you receive three in-person passes and two virtual passes. If you are a Friend level member, you will not receive any passes – however, you can activate your member discount by selecting “Member” when you start the online registration. All member companies are verified through the registration process.
Can we exchange virtual passes for in-person and vice versa?
We offer a hybrid event and virtual passes are included as a member benefit. However, we do not convert passes from in-person to virtual and vice versa. While this was done occasionally in the years following the COVID-19 pandemic due to travel restrictions, from 2023 we no longer convert passes.
Can I convert a full access pass into multiple one-day passes so more colleagues can attend?
While we are unable to convert full-access passes into multiple one-day passes, we do offer a member discount which can be used to purchase additional passes if needed.
Are there discounts for NGOs, academia, or start-ups?
We do offer discounts to NGOs and academia. Member NGOs have received a discount code which has been sent to the primary contact on record and can be located on the primary contact’s profile on The Hub. All non-members should fill out the NGO/Nonprofit and Academia application to be considered for the discount. We unfortunately cannot extend discounts to start-ups, unless they fall under the NGO/academia category.
How do we best support producers/farmer groups to attend the conference?
We believe that a diversity of roles, experiences, and perspectives is needed to enable conversations that will move us forward. To help break down the barriers that prevent material producers from attending our conference, we allocate travel grants and/or conference passes each year to a shortlist of nominated farmers.
How can I register for a field trip?
To register for a field trip, conference registrants will be able to modify their conference registration via the modification link and add on a field trip. This will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Are there hotel discount codes?
Yes, Textile Exchange has agreed to a discounted rate at a few local hotels for conference attendees starting from Sunday, October 12, 2025. Please see the list of hotels here.
Are there any volunteer opportunities for attending the conference?
We have a limited number of volunteer opportunities available at this year’s conference. These are aimed at students, recent graduates or early career professionals. Please contact conference@textileexchange.org if you would like to apply.
